Nobel Prize in Physics

The phenomenon of Giant Magnetoresistance (GMR) was awarded the Nobel Prize in Physics. Initial commercialization of this technology appeared in hard disk drives.

                       

October 2007

Early Magicians

Drs. Bryce Yao, Elaine Ng, and Jared Nesvet joined Prof. Wang’s lab to change healthcare with GMR biosensors.

 

2013-2015

Qualcomm Tricorder XPRIZE

Bryce, Elaine, and Prof. Wang contribute their point-of-care (POC) GMR device to win the XPRIZE Bold Epic Innovation Award with CloudDx!

Creating MagIC

MagIC Lifescience was born.

     

March 2021

StartX Incubator

After several rounds of competition, MagIC joined StartX Med, an incubator from Stanford University.
